Give me some good pics and good advice.
What are good tips for flower pictures?
It would help to know what camera you have. If it has a "macro" setting, use it. Your Owner's Manual will tell you if it does.
I like to shoot "through" flowers - get behind the flower and look at the light illuminating the petals. I honestly believe that was the inspiration for stained glass centuries ago.
Use a longer lens - 100mm works well. Even at f11 the background will be a soft blur unless the flower is right on top of it.
Take your pictures from the side of the flower instead of directly head-on.

Reply:Take all sorts of angles. Use the foliage setting on your camera. Get up close and personal with the flowers, and far away with interesting things behind it.
