Because maybe the don't feel comfortable putting there own pictures, or that they compare them selves to it !
There are many reasons why, depends what the person see's in the picture, for you it might be a flower but for another its much more then just a flower.
Why do some people use pictures of flowers as their profile pictures?
cos flowers are quite cool and easy to take photos of...
