I looked this up a couple years ago for someone else. The picture wasn't taken at Ohio State. It was a Vietnam War protest in Washington DC, I believe. The photo is called "Flower Power". Here's the link for you:

Shortly after four students were killed by National Guard bullets on the Kent State University campus on May 4, 1970, Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko wrote a poem dedicated to Allison Krause, one of the slain students. Its theme was based on the report that the day before her death, Ms Krause had put a flower on a National Guardsman's rifle, saying that "flowers are better than bullets." The poem, "Flowers %26amp; Bullets," was printed in Pravda, the Communist party newspaper.

Reply:I don't know the name of the photo but I believe it appeared on the cover of either Time or Life magazine and I believe it was actually Kent State University not Ohio St. I know it had to do with Vietnam War protest and pretty sure it was a national guardsmen whose rifle the man put the flower in and shortly after there was a bunch of shooting by the guardsmen. Don't remember which year though. Been a long time ago and my memory isn't what it once was.

What is the difference between the flowers "Gaillardia" and Rudbeckia"? The pictures of them look the same.
Rudbeckia look kind of like black-eyed Susan--always a shade of yellow with dark centers. Gallardia are a coarser flower, good for drying, and they have multicolored pedals (like orange near the center turning yellow at the tips) with a lighter center. There are also differences in when and how often they bloom. Both are great landscape brighteners.

Do you know the name of this blue flower?
I can't find a pic of it anywhere but it is almost a teal colour. Its shape is similar to a Bird of Paradise, I think but it is much smaller. I thought it might be a type of tropical flower that is dyed blue but I am not sure... all I know that it is a much different blue than most 'blue' flowers like hydrangeas, etc. Names and/or links to pictures would be greatly appreciated as I am using a dark teal as one of my wedding flowers and I thought it might look good for the boutonnieres.

I need help identifying a flower?
It is pretty small. It grows on a stalk to about half a foot high with the leaves wrung around the stem and very wavy looking. It has long purple flowers at the top that acording to my friends at school say are edible. I'm not sure about that. It's native to the south (I think. It grows everywhere) and I can tell by the smell that it's an herb. Any ideas? pictures would help.

this picture looks to be Echinacea purpurea "Rubinstern" (ruby star cone flower) though in books they define it as a red to purple color it is much more purple than red, it is definately an Echinacea (common name cone flower) but what exact cultivar is up for debate, i believe it to be rubistern.............blanco

Their colors range from white, magenta, purple, yellow, orange and rust. They're used as ground covers on the side of roads. You can see it all over the southern California freeways. They are hardy and can compete with other plants very well. Blooming all spring long and first half of the summer.

What flower is this?
I had these plants pop up in my flowerbed and in the grass nearby. They are bulbs, the ones I saw were about as big as a green onion. The leaves are skinny and long and look almost like grass. The flowers are white with 6 fairly skinny petals and a yellow center. They do not droop like bells, they are wide open like a childs picture of a flower. I live in Ohio and they just started blooming about a week or two ago. I've looked online and in books and can't quite figure out what they are. Any clue?

Reply:My Aunt calls them Ghost Lilies-I assume it is because of the color. It is a species of Amyrillis. Take your picture to a nursery, they can give you the exact name. The leaves come up about the same time as Daffodills. The leaves look a bit like Daffodill leaves. Then they die out. About now is when the flower stack appears. I gotta go look for mine.

Reply:The flower is an amaryllis belladonna, more commonly known as belladonna lily, March lily, or naked lady. It's a member of the amaryllidaceae family. The belladonna lily's specific flowering time is late summer, February, and March. Amaryllis belladonna in its natural habitat is found in small dense groups among rocks. Therefore the best place to plant them would be in a rock garden.
Reply:around here they are called naked lady or summer lily...in spring you will see leaves/foilage similar to daylilies..then the foilage dies back and in mid to late summer the stalk grows up and blooms...there is no foilage at this time
i am still waiting on mine to grow up and bloom...i believe different varities of the naked ladies bloom at different times of the summer
Reply:That is definately an amaryllis. It's not a magic lilly or any of that other nonsense. Amaryllis (or the ones I've been around) are usually deeper shades, like red. However, feel fortunate to have such a beautiful non-common shade.

Reply:Sota looks like lillies to me. However, the lack of leaves poses a question. Did they ever have leaves or did something eat them or did they fall off? If they are lillies they will bulbs underground, sometimes some immature bulbs showing just at groud level. When they stop blooming dig one uo, if you get a clump of small bulbs it may be a lily. You could transblant to somewhere you like. Alsi, if there are several bulbs you can split some off and start a new plant. I suggest if you really want to know what it is, take the picture to a horticulterist. Good luck. They sure are pretty flowers.

Reply:If it does not have any leaves while blooming, then this would be a Lily by the name of "Naked Lady". It will develop leaves after the blossoms die.

Reply:My Aunt calls them Ghost Lilies-I assume it is because of the color. It is a species of Amyrillis. Take your picture to a nursery, they can give you the exact name. The leaves come up about the same time as Daffodills. The leaves look a bit like Daffodill leaves. Then they die out. About now is when the flower stack appears. I gotta go look for mine.

Reply:around here they are called naked lady or summer lily...in spring you will see leaves/foilage similar to daylilies..then the foilage dies back and in mid to late summer the stalk grows up and blooms...there is no foilage at this time
i am still waiting on mine to grow up and bloom...i believe different varities of the naked ladies bloom at different times of the summer
Reply:That is definately an amaryllis. It's not a magic lilly or any of that other nonsense. Amaryllis (or the ones I've been around) are usually deeper shades, like red. However, feel fortunate to have such a beautiful non-common shade.

Reply:Sota looks like lillies to me. However, the lack of leaves poses a question. Did they ever have leaves or did something eat them or did they fall off? If they are lillies they will bulbs underground, sometimes some immature bulbs showing just at groud level. When they stop blooming dig one uo, if you get a clump of small bulbs it may be a lily. You could transblant to somewhere you like. Alsi, if there are several bulbs you can split some off and start a new plant. I suggest if you really want to know what it is, take the picture to a horticulterist. Good luck. They sure are pretty flowers.

Advice or tips on taking pictures of an event?
After my family had a look at my macro shots of flowers, they decided to make me take pictures for my niece's first birthday. I'm pretty scared cause its my niece's first birthday and I really don't want to mess up. Any advice or tips on taking pictures of a baby at a birthday party? I'm using a Canon PowerShot SD400.

First, don't be scared. If your family liked your macro shots of flowers, your picture taking skills are okay. I can help with a few tips that will make it easier to take good pictures at this event.
Stay close to the subjects and use your flesh if you can. Use the camera's optical viewfinder, not the LCD screen on the back. Use the optical zoom lens, but try to avoid using the digital zoom for your pictures. Concentrate on holding your camera steady (using the optical viewfinder instead of the LCD screen will make this a far easier). Make sure your camera batteries are charged and bring a spare charged battery if you have one and can do that. Set your camera on its highest quality image setting and make sure that you have an empty formatted flash card. If you have a spare card, bring it. And finally and most important, take your time, but take plenty of pictures.
You really should have no problems at all with this event. It will be far easier than doing macro pictures of flowers.

I want a flower tattoo going down my ribs. I haven't been able to find any cute pictures. Can you help?
The tattoo is my way of remembering three people in my life that were really close to me and passed away. Although it's not a traditional memorial, flowers have alot of meaning associate with these people. The picture doesn't have to represesent three (either three flowers or branched off three ways) but it has to be soft and cute on my side. I don't want it to be too big; probably just the length of my ribs. If you could help that'd be amazing. I've been looking for months and want to have at least a good idea of what I want so I can have the artist draw the perfect thing up for me. Thanks!

Reply:There are sooo many flowers out there! (I was a floral designer for a few years) First start by figuring out if you'd want something tropical, more european, wild flowers, there's so many. Then pick what you think would look good, given the shape and everything. Then colors. I love calla lilies but I decided not to get one because they have depth in them that I wasn't too sure would be captured by the tattoo. I chose a plumeria, same place where you want. It was my first, 2 sittings, total of 5 1/2 hours, $600, full of pain, seriously. But I love it. Good luck.

What is the name of this flower?
It has big white flowers that bloom and a lot of leaves. There is about 7 flowers blooming right now. They look like big bells if you turn them upside down. This flower started growing beside my parents house and they are unsure of what it is called and what the best suitable growing conditions are for this plant to survive the rest of the summer. We are also curious if it will regrow next year and if it could possibly be poisoness to children or pets. I do have a picture of it; however, I do not know how to post the flower for everyone to see.

Hi,
I am an opera singer about to produce my first CD. I will be walking around NYC sometime in the next two weeks to take pictures of me in my pretty dress for the cover of the CD. I am not from NYC but have visited many times. Any suggestions of where I could have the shots taken? The CD is religious in theme, but it doesn't have to be at a religious setting - big churches are out because of lighting issues. I am thinking stone structures and flowers, outdoors or indoors - either is fine. Suggestions??

Go to Central Park...There is this beautiful white small bridge that goes over a pond...it is a really nice scene, with the city behind you. There is tons of flowers and trees that would be a part of the pic. You can also go to Cloisters Park in Upper Manhattan. In Cloisters Park, they have castle settings.

I am an appreciater of photography and while watching a show about the "drug years" of the 1960's %26amp; 70's on VH1 some black %26amp; white pictures were shown. Reply:In my kids' bathroom I put a picture of the 3 of them together in there. In my bathroom I put a 2 cute pictures of them that were taken of them outside. The outdoors is relaxing to me so to me it fit in.
Do whatever you love and relaxes you and then they will be the right pictures.

It is entirely up to you. But I would suggest a nice closeup photograph of a flower would be nice.
Alot of people but up those tacky looking pictures of a nude female figure getting out of the tub in the bathroom. I never liked those personally.

Personally I prefer hanging art to themed-based wall hangings that make me feel like I am in a model home or dentist office, with art the effect is much more personal and has much greater depth.
Reply:Hi, here is a suggestion. Why don't you look at tons of images of bathrooms. I got many ideas for a variety of projects just by doing this. Go into Google or Yahoo image search. Key in bathrooms or bathroom design or whatever you're searching for. Voila, you now have thousands of photographs to choose from. Most images link to a website for more information.

Key in bathrooms or bathroom design or whatever you're searching for. Voila, you now have thousands of photographs to choose from. Most images link to a website for more information.

What flower (or flowers) goes well with calla lilies?
I am in the beginning stages of planning my wedding. I know FOR SURE that I want my bouquet to be calla lilies. I would also this to flow throughout my entire bridal party… bridesmaids, groom, groomsmen, parents, etc. and reception… table arrangements and so on. But I think it would be a little blah to have JUST calla lilies. The problem is what goes with the simple elegance of a calla lily? My wedding is going to have that feel- simple elegance. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Also if you have links to pictures of table arrangements and such that include calla lilies and another flower I would love that as well! Thanks!

It was all lovely. I personally don't like mixing other flowers with calla lilies because they are so elegant and make a tasteful, but bold, statement on their own. For centerpieces, you can try an entirely different, though equally dramatic flower -- white orchids. Just a few in a tall vase are beautiful, very different, and not as costly as you might think.

Is there a website that has gardening plans with pictures?
I'm a beginner at gardening and don't know what flowers and plants look nice together or how to plant them. So I am looking for a site that has examples of gardens and points out what kind of flowers and plants were used. I found Burpee.com which sells a kit but I am looking for something more detailed. It doesn't even need to be a plant selling company. Or maybe a web site of experts that i can send a picture to and could label the flowers.

Garden Gate puts out nice and easy garden plans. You also get a shopping list to help you when you go to the garden center. You get a watercolor picture to show the garden and there are tons of options to choose from. The plants in the designs are generally quite easy to come by and you can substitute also if you can't find something - just stick the a similar color and height when doing so.

I find that trial and error works well myself - I've seen a lot of things in catalogs that I liked but then when I've tried them they didn't work so well in my climate (Maryland) compared to where the pictures were from.
Also depends on what you want to do. I don't have a lot of time to garden so every year I ONLY put in perennials. But people who have more time often put in a lot of annuals (but then you have to buy more the next year and do it all over again). Also depends on how much sun, partial sun and shade you have in your backyard.
Some good basic perennials are: butterfly bushes, black eyed susans, ivy. The butterfly bushes and black eyed susans bloom all summer long into the fall. Some good bulbs are tulips and daffodils - but these are early bloomers and are gone by May usually. I also love hydrangea but my soil isn't conducive to growing it.
Good luck! Gardening is fun - I'm sure no matter what you put in the ground you'll enjoy it even if you decide to move it.

How can I find the name of my thornless rose bush from just the description of the flower?
The flowers start off cream colored, but as they age, they get almost deep ruby red to pink streaks and pink coloring in the petals. New growth is a deep ruby red, and it is definitely nearly 99% thornless. My bush is over five feet tall, and almost as wide. If anyone wants more details, and thinks they have an answer, I can also email them a picture of both the shrub and the flowers at their different stages.

You can't.
When you use flash layouts, what you see is what you get - there is no way of editing or tampering with the code to get it to look the way you want.
That's why not that many people use them, because the few sites that do offer them make them look terrible and ugly and there's nothing you can do about it.

When you use flash layouts, what you see is what you get - there is no way of editing or tampering with the code to get it to look the way you want.
That's why not that many people use them, because the few sites that do offer them make them look terrible and ugly and there's nothing you can do about it.

it is a pinky purplue flower, it is wild and has lobbed edges, and is starting to go by in august? And it isnt a cosmo or a sweet pea. And it is a wild flower that grows on the side of the road. I would post a picture but i dont know how 2.

What kind of flower pot would be cool for this kind of person?
For an end-of-the-year gift for each of my teachers, I'm painting a flower pot. However, I have no clue what to paint on my Language Arts/Reading teacher's flower pot. I'll explain her and you can give me some ideas.
- She likes snowboarding and blading (in the winter.)
- She likes Jack Russels (she has one.)
- She likes the color green.
- She doesn't like flowery things or girly colors (pink, lavender, light blue.)
- She likes to play Scrabble (but she isn't absessed with it.)
- She's really funny.
- She likes gardening.
Those are the things I know about her. It's pretty sad I only know that much because she was my sixth grade teacher, my 7th grade Reading and Language Arts teacher, and my 8th grade Reading and language Arts teacher. I have three main teachers because at our school, we don't have a different teacher for each subject- there aren't enough classes and teachers for that, it's a Catholic School (there are ten people in my class, including me.)

What a wonderful idea. I loved Laura's idea of spelling something out in Scrabble letters. if you have these letters you could glue them on with a craft glue.
Maybe have an outdoor scene with different seasons, one being winter with a person on a snowboard, maybe spring with a Jack Russel with a gardening glove or shovel in his mouth..like he's running, summer could be her screaming "School's Out For Summer" (make her hair look kind of crazy or her hands waving or her dancing...show movement), fall could be an apple with "The Best Teacher Ever" on it...maybe that could be the Scrabble part.
If this seems hard you can always decoupage it. Decoupage is when you basically glue pictures, cut outs from magazines, buttons, little trinkets, Scrabble letters...anything on it and then put a thin layer of glue over it.

ive seen pictures that are black and white, except for one small detail. for example, a black and white picture of a girl holding a flower, however the flower is its original color, yellow, and the contrast between the flower and the black and white is pretty. how do you make this effect on a picture?

Reply:Here is one that I posted in Flickr. It's quite easy with almost any version of Photoshop. You can take any color picture got to Image%26gt;Adjust%26gt;De-Saturate. This enables your history brush and you can brush the color back into any item in the photo.

2. Re-open the original image (the colored one), and paste the copied B%26amp;W image over it.

4. Working on the B%26amp;W layer, use the Lasso tool the select the area that you wish to have in color, ie. the yellow flower.
5. Use the Select%26gt;Feather drop-down tool to smoothen the edges of your selection.
6. Press delete, and repeat steps 4 - 6 till you achieve the desired effect.
7. Flatten the image, and Voila!

They could then be set up for commercial printing presses or the picture could be re-shot on color film. One slide with complex text/coloring or designs could easily run into hundreds of $$$ (late 70's). PC graphic programs put most such companies out of business by the mid 80's.
Today it can be done easily with any graphics program that allows you to work with photographs and "Layers". If you have Photoshop or a similar program click Help and use the Search function to look up "layers" and see if they have a tutorial that will step you through the process. What kind of indoor plant/flower is this?
I found this plant from the nursery and I am going to buy it, but i don't know what it is, and what the requirements are. Ok, it was about 2 feet all, and had 3 one inch thick beige coloured stems that curled perfectly around eachother. They had green leaves, and had big red flowers. It is an indoor plant. Does anyone know what this might be? Pictures?

I would like to find someone who can not only look at my pictures, but give me advice and help me use my camera to get the best possible pictures. I have a Minolta Dimage 6. I just started taking pictures and would LOVE to take great pictures. I have tons of neighbor kids I took at a local park that has tons of flowers and such. Those, I think, turned out really nice. One mother used my pictures for school pictures instead of paying the school. That really made me feel good. But there is still so much I do not know and would like to learn. I just havent found anyone who will take me under their wing and help me. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!

You do not need to go to formal school to become a photographer but you have to learn it from somewhere be it from a class room environment or from you reading and doing things on your own.
You also have alot of people here that can give good advice (and bad) so you have to take it with a grain of salt and not get offended when somebody tells you something that you don't want to hear. You need to have a website or something and give a link to your pictures.
Below is some information that will also help you.
1. You should learn the technical aspects of photography and your camera (composition, shutter speed, rules of thirds, depth of field etc), once you understand these you will be able to create better images.
2. Shoot in "M" (manual mode) because you will have more control over your camera and not the other way around. When you are in one of the "Auto" modes the camera will just read the highlights and shadow areas and try to get you a picture. The camera is not smart enough to know what you are shooting.
3. You can start reading all kinds of books on this subject and get information from the internet. This includes web based classes, manufactures web sites to personal blogs.
4. Buy the best DSLR camera that you can afford this also includes good lenses. Take out your camera and manual sit down and go over all the buttons and knobs etc.. this is the best way for you to learn what your camera can do.
5. Start shooting with your camera to get practice and from what you are learning from reading and doing you will get better. Practice does make perfect. Take notes while shooting and then look at your photos on the computer find the best one from that set and see what you did to get the shot.
6. You can get yourself a job as a photographers assistant (be it payed or free) and learn from that person.
7. My suggestion is to find a part of photography that you would have an interest in and point in that direction.

Ok so i have this flower project where i need to key out and then press flowers for my Highschool. I found this one flowerand it is about 1 and a half feet tall, it has red leaves that when you look lower down into the stalk there is green. it has tiny white flowers that you cant see hardly unless you look through a magnifying glass...I am not certain on the following info!:

Could you identify this flower? sorry i know i asked this before but this time i have pictures!?
I posted on your other question, and there are links to local wildflower ID sites. BUT off of the top of my head, it looks like a member of the carrot family, Apiaceae (although it is not a carrot, sorry!), which was formerly known as Umbelliferaceae. If it smells nice when you crush the leaves it is probably an herb which is naturalized, in which case I would look up "coriander" or 'chervil" and explore their genuses.
Edit: It may be a wild chervil. If it's not, it's probably in the same genus. It's hard to tell with fuzzy pictures.

Could you identify this flower? sorry i know i asked this before but this time i have pictures!?
I posted on your other question, and there are links to local wildflower ID sites. BUT off of the top of my head, it looks like a member of the carrot family, Apiaceae (although it is not a carrot, sorry!), which was formerly known as Umbelliferaceae. If it smells nice when you crush the leaves it is probably an herb which is naturalized, in which case I would look up "coriander" or 'chervil" and explore their genuses.
Edit: It may be a wild chervil. If it's not, it's probably in the same genus. It's hard to tell with fuzzy pictures.

Find a place to decorate my pictures?
I want to make a photo with black and white and then have one thing in the photo colored. Like a flower having color and then the rest of the picture be black and white. If anyone could give me a website that does this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I don't know of any web sites; just software. I use Photoshop CS2. If you want to email the image to me I'll do it for you. No problem.

If i take a picture of someone's flower and sell it do i owe them money?

If the flower is unique perhaps there could be a property issue, but in any case if you asked permission and they gave it there should be no problem. The only thing that comes in would be again if the flower was somehow unique, like if the guy had developed some type of hybrid. In that case I would strongly suggest getting a property release before trying to publish the image. If you have no plans for commercial publication and only want to use the image for artistic prints then you need no release.
And ipshwitz, have you really been a professional photographer for 10 years? Your website http://www.wise-photos.net/index.asp says since 1998 and you are only 25 years old. So did you become a pro when you were 15 or were you 17? Maybe we should call you Uberboy!

Need a specific flower picture!?
okay. can somebody find me a picture of any flower coming out the ground, preferably out of rubbish or rocks or some dead looking thing like that...where the flower is in color and the rest is black and white? you'd think that's an easy photo op and it'd be on the internet somewhere but i can't find it. help! thanks

All you need is a low level shot of a fresh flower sitting in some rocks or trash against an uncluttered background. Use an image editing program to select and isolate the flower then convert the rest to grayscale.

What do the Twilight titles and pictures mean?
do the titles mean anything? the pictures? i have a good guess on the picture but idk about the titles. like Breaking Dawn, Midnight Sun, and the recent, already out books. i know what the apple means and i have a good guess on the flower: like "she loves me; she loves me not" but what are your guesses?

Twilight.
As the person above me said, Twilight's apple is standing for the forbidden fruit. This is the only cover Stephanie got to pick. The meaning I think of the actual Title is basically twilight. twilight is the end of a new day, and basically this book is the end of Bella's truly human life. This is what i think.
New Moon
As people above me said, the flower was picked because the publishers. I love your idea, it is very practical. The actual title i think means as others said, the dark part of her life, or the darkest part of the moon cycle. I also think that edward is her light, and since there is no light in a new moon this would make sense. Again just a guess.
Eclipse
Again Steph had no control over what they put on her cover. But I think it is the ribbon being torn apart because, she is torn apart by picking between the two loves. One half is her love for Jacob the other Edward. This is again a theory. And for the title. This I think is almost like how her "sun" Jacob covers the moon, Edward. She has to pick between these two and when she does the other moves away, but another thing I think is they are both very strong and you need both of them to make an eclipse (referring to Sun and moon/ Edward Jacob) but you can't have an eclpise for to long eventually one of them has to go away.

I guess Meyer wanted to keep the theme of astrology for the rest of it, but otherwise, I have no idea.

The picture (to me) is a symobol of bellas love. its torn, because she loves edward and jacob. i remember that Jacob said that he could deal with the clouds, but he couldnt fight an eclips. so thats what i think.

Soak oasis in water till really wet pierce with a knife first when you see bubbles its me take out.
Use a fixing tape to secure then start to put your flowers and foliage .
Start with 3 Flowers then foliage,5Flowers +foliage ,9Flowers +_foliage.

How can I take wildflowers from the road, and put them in a flower bed?
There is about 15 different kinds of wildflowers that grow along my road, but my road is a dirt road so they get really dusty. i already took 12 wild roses but they are all in shock, but they will be ok next year. How can I take these other wildflowers and plant them in my flower bed? Just to name a few of the flowers, there are daisys, black eyed susans, fire weed, flowering maple, and this one type of small purple vine that looks like a mini wisteria. how can i do it, and make sure they are ok? oh, and its ok if its illegal, this is a dirt road that only gets about 20 cars a day. i tried to plant wildflowers from seed, and only about 5 small types of flowers came up, not the ones that were in the picture. it was the biggest waste of money i ever spent. oh, and one more question, is there any type of wildflower seed packets (or miracle gro stuff) that has many big flowers come up like snapdragons and is very full and colourful?

Stop and think for a moment about your actions. Is it illegal? Yes!! Private property calls it invasion and theft.
Public Property brings Criminal Charges against you!
First a real Wildflower Bed needs development and plannning. Set aside an area you wish to have as such a garden in your yard. Make the proper provisions, such as the soil, irrigation availability, and a border to keep the plants in place. Wildflowers are really weeds that will take over if not contained my friend!
With the planning, backfill with any dirt you can and some compost or manure your set to go. Again, confine the area with either a stone or timber wall no less than three foot tall and make it a full surround. After planning and executing that project examine your real purpose.
Do I want a true wildflower garden or a garden I can be proud of and tend? I believe the later to be more true. Set the garden to be receptive to any planting this fall. Spend the time between then and spring to put a plan on paper. Make a gradious plan with a Specimen Tree surrounded by rare plants. Then get real and plan a garden that reflects your obvious goal of color through the season.
There are so many plants and so many zones in this country that plants can grow in. Write me back for the zone you are in. I am at gjgjobs@yahoo.com and welcome such a challenge.

The plants I would use would be a Center Plant of Yucca, a background of Gereniums and a front of Midlandier Roses. All are cheap and available at any Nursery. Beats the hell out of trying to save monies and the bed will continue for years!

Some of the plants you listed can easily be grown from seed or plants purchased at a nursery. Black Eyed Susan's only need to be planted once since they self propagate very easily. Those wildflower seed packets are usually not good and will contain more weed seeds than real flower seeds like you are wanting. You could make your own mixture of seeds. Buy packets of seeds that you like, mix them together and plant!
