Does anyone know the title of a children's picture book about a boy who finds a red flower/plant?

He lives in a world filled with football and pizza and after finding this plant, he creates a civilization based on the number 7 or 9 and uses the plant to make ink and weave backpacks? and shoes?. In the beginning, all the other kids make fun of him for being different, but at the end, they all join him.

i think it's a one word title starting with either "A" or "S".
