I dont want to spend no more than 30 minutes to take our pictures.I'm only having 1 maid of honor,1 bridesmaid,a bestman and 1 groomsman and 2 flower girls. Is 30 minutes enough time? And of course pics with our parents and siblings.
Is thirty minutes good enough to take our wedding pictures?
yes for sure,
Reply:No. You are going to want to set aside a few hours for pictures if you want them to look good.
We ended up spending 3 hours taking pictures at various locations thoughout town. It was a hassle at the time, but when they were developed it was totally worth it.
Reply:No way...sorry!
Reply:Pushing it. You never know what might come up. I would plan atleast an hour. It just depends on how many you take, the photographer may be slow or a perfectionist. My photographer had a problem with his camera which slow us down, you should always plan for unforseen problems.
Reply:Typically, yes. I've been to plenty of weddings and 30 minutes was enough to get pictures of the whole party for weddings of under/around 250. If you're talking about the ceremony AND the pictures of the wedding party, you might want to allot for more time.
Reply:LOL 30 min! We rushed ours and it took 1 hour before and 30 min after the ceremony. We did all the pics before the wedding that we could then the ones of us together we did after.
Reply:Depends on how many posed shots, and how many combinations you want. We wanted very few. Our photographer took them all in under 15 minutes.
But I was a bridesmaid at a wedding where they did every combination of family, bridal party, etc. know to man and it took forever!
Know what you want. Be clear with your photographer beforehand, and it will help him/her to be more efficient.
Reply:I would think so, it also depends on if your wedding party knows how to listen. It also depends on the photographer....I would maybe ask him or her about it.
Reply:Probably an hour.
In my wedding, there was a maid of honor and a best man. But then we started adding in family members and different combinations of those family members.
Don't rush it. As much as you're paying for those photos, you want them to be good. lol
Reply:Thats actually the perfect amount of time. It will increase patience in the transition between ceremony and reception, people won't get too antsy and your faces won't freeze in the smiling position, although it being a wedding you should be smiling all night! You should be able to get quality pictures in 30min, especially if you have a good photographer! Good Luck!
Reply:No, sorry!
30mins will make everything very stressfull trying to get all the pictures done. Therefore causing them not to look as good. I suggest leaving about an hour time slot for them.
Good Luck! =)
Reply:it depends on ALOT of things:
how big is your family? and his family? god parents, grand parents too!
i would give at least an hour, cuz then if you rushed your pics you might not be happy when the end result.
Reply:Don't make a time job for the wedding. Find what he will charge for shooting the wedding you'll get much better pictures. In other words don't be cheap it's your wedding the pictures are most important part of the wedding.
Reply:It depends on what types of pictures you want. I think 30 minutes is really rushing it though.
Reply:Yes def. We had 6 people in our wedding and we only did about 45 minutes. It's tiring and all that smiling and posing ends up making the pictures look weird if yu take too many. Also, you don't want to keep your guests waiting too long!
Reply:If you are hiring a professional photographer- no way. Not a chance. You will probably need a couple of hours, often times up to 3 hours. My photographer actually starts at 1pm and my wedding isn't until 5pm.
Reply:I would give it a minimum of one hour. You have to be prepared if anything goes wrong as it will in many photo shoots. In my experience modeling, photographers have had equipment failure, people have arrived late and thrown the shoot off and many times weather has been uncooperative. You need to take a whole lot of pictures just to get one good shot. Also, if you're in a hurry, the photos will show that. Your poses will be forced and unnatural. The stress will show. You're going to cherish these photos the rest of your life. Why not take a couple of hours and do it right? I've had shoots that lasted 8 hours all to just print one photo!
Reply:I recently got married and just the pictures alone took two and a half hours remind you that dose not inculed the fixing of the hair the dress and all the kids that wont sit still along with mass annoya.
Reply:I would def think so my wedding is the same as you ceremony %26amp; reception at the same place...we are planning on only setting 45 minutes as side for pictures and i have a few more people then you. Just make sure your wedding party knows ahead of time not to disapper and be preferred for pictures! Good luck
Reply:you should probably budget a little more time unless you want all of your pics to have you standing in the exact same spot..
Reply:With a small wedding party like that, you might be able to get away with only needing 30 minutes. Just to be on the safe side, I would set aside a full hour for pictures. There is always a little bit of chaos going on after the wedding and you'll probably have to go find people when its time for them to have their picture taken. Talk to your photographer about it in advance and have him come to the rehearsal so he can see what type of lighting and setup he will be working with. That way he can have picture ideas in his already.
Reply:Um...probably not. At my wedding, pictures took over two hours and I only had a maid of honor, one bridesmaid, a best man, one groomsman, a flower girl and a ring bearer. Along with parents and grandparents.
Reply:If I'm there 30 min or 3 hours your still paying me for a day. I'm not going to blow a job for 30 minuets. I have to plan a days work. If you want crap pictures get a friend to shoot it. As professional I can't afford to pass up a 300 or 400 dollar job for 30 minuets. No professional is going to work like that. Hire a pro for the day you'll get a album your friends will die for. With a 30 minuet time are you going to have picture cutting the cake. One other thing Candi picture are the best.
